Southern Arizona Community Organizations Active in Disaster (SOAZ COAD)
Southern Arizona Community Organizations Active in Disaster (SOAZ COAD) is a humanitarian network of independent community organizations that may be active in all phases of disaster.
What We Do
SOAZ COAD is dedicated to whole community engagement to build disaster resilience. We work together to:
- Effectively address community needs before, during, and after a disaster
- Coordinate and streamline services that address critical unmet needs during a disaster
- Share knowledge and resources
State and National Network
SOAZ COAD is part of the Arizona Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (AZ VOAD) and the National VOAD.
Mission
SOAZ COAD’s mission is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort through cooperation in the four phases of disaster: preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.
A Growing Network
We are part of the Arizona Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (AZ VOAD) and the National VOAD. Partnerships in this network include nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, emergency management and public health agencies, faith-based organizations, for-profit corporations, foundations, educational and research institutions, associations, and more.
