What We Do

SOAZ COAD is dedicated to whole community engagement to build disaster resilience. We work together to:

  • Effectively address community needs before, during, and after a disaster
  • Coordinate and streamline services that address critical unmet needs during a disaster
  • Share knowledge and resources

 State and National Network

SOAZ COAD is part of the Arizona Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (AZ VOAD) and the National VOAD.

Mission

SOAZ COAD’s mission is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort through cooperation in the four phases of disaster: preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.
